April 2016 is the official launch of our NEW eDeaf logo, and indeed our new corporate identity!
Our new logo is fresh and bold and highlighting the word “Deaf” emphasises the fact that we are a proudly Deaf organization. The charcoal “e” creates a harmonious contrast to the professional hues that make up the word “Deaf”.
Our positive approach and excellent service delivery, ensures that our corporate clients and Deaf learners alike are challenged to break down the communication barriers which exist between the Deaf and the hearing world.
“Why fix what’s not broken?” – I was asked this question of our old logo prior to conducting some interesting market research. It seems our much loved logo was lost on our hearing audience. Of course, within the Deaf community, the two people are obviously signing to one another but our target market is both Hearing and Deaf clients.
The words eDeaf (Employ & Empower) are fundamentals which cannot be changed and so we focussed on our core function and gave it a more modern and energetic feel. The branding on our eDeaf website has also been upgraded in keeping with the new look and feel. Previously the website appeared rather dark and sombre – now it is uplifting and empowering.
Change is good for growth, and we are certainly growing.
Our staff compliment is now at 49, which places us on the threshold of moving from a Small to a Medium Enterprise in less than a decade…
We are not letting go of our past, not at all! We are just choosing not to re-read the same chapter over and over. We are moving on. Love our old logo for everything it represents, and embrace the new as we extend the reach of eDeaf’s services.
So come with us on our journey! Let’s see where it takes us.
